The 14 accomplished musicians comprising the Derry Ringers will present “The Beauty of Bells” under the direction of Helen Anthony, the church’s Director of Music and Organist.

The Derry Ringers have been ringing praises to the Lord during Sunday morning worship services at Derry Presbyterian Church for the past 20 years. For this special evening concert, the bell ringers will play tunes not typically heard on Sunday morning: “Rock Around the Clock,” “The Chicken Dance,” and “Tarantella,” as well as favorites including “Give Me Jesus.” A 20-piece orchestra will provide accompaniment for some of the selections. The Derry Ringers will also play with just strings, just brass, and just the bells.

The concert is part of the church’s 2012 Arts Alive cultural series.  No admission will be charged; a free-will offering will benefit the Harrisburg Boys & Girls Club. Handicapped parking and an elevator are available. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.
